my out of town trip with my ie groupmates got cancelled cause one of my friends had a minor incident last thursday. feel kinda disappointed cause i've been looking forward to our trip for a long time. :C i'll be working soon and i want to make the best out of my "end of college" days.
due to boredom and sheer desperation, i forced/tricked my brother to have a drinking session with me. haha. mike! if you're reading this, ginawa ko din timpla mo hehe. adik. it was quite funny cause my brother has a low tolerance for alcohol and when he got tipsy he was all red and saying "ate!, ayoko na, hindi ko na makaya". haha. bad ate. but we did stop cause of course my parents would kill me if they got home and found aaron very drunk. syemps, responsible drinking! hehe
and now, i still feel disappointed and bored! i wanna go out and have fun! next week holy week na so solemn days for me. then come next next week, inhinyero mode na ulet. so no fun for me. the week after that i start working na, so no more fun days for to spare. waah!
before, i used to daydream that i would go on an asian cruise after i graduate and all. or even go to korea or japan. but no! time and resource constraints! haay. i hope when i start working ill still have time to do the things im planning. hehe

life's finest
had the presentation of my final academic requirement, the database of Lori Estelle Learning Center yesterday. and now after 6 years of toughing out in Engg, i can finally say that I'm GRADUATING! woohoo! my dad always said that one of the best moments in his life was the period between accomplishment of his last academic requirement and the first day of his work. and now, i know what he means. hehe
so next week, its just inhinyero work for me, mainly for the preparation of the grad party. there's also poker night with i2k7 on moday and my very much awaited batangas trip with my ie groupmates for life on fri to sat! wee!
summer here i come!

torn
in all aspects of life, we're always trying to find a right fit for things.
sometimes you just wish that you can get everything you want or things just as you'd like them to be..
but then again, life isn't served on a silver platter.
you have to make choices, learn to compromise. learn to listen to your heart and brain at the same time.
i hope i make the right choice. i need a sign! hehe

bloomfields
in the mood for the pinoy rock/combo band sound today so m listening to stuff from bloomfields, one of the more popular bands today. caught their interview at jam 88.3 and thoroughly enjoyed their light and comic banter with the dj. they have a very "old sound" and listening to them gives me visions of ate vi and fuzzy colored 60's and 70's movies. haha.

i feel touched, received an email from moon, my korean student. he went back to korea already and i thought that we would lose touch.
just feels so right when you know that in some way you've touched a life. major morale and fulfillment booster. hehe

you got me
watched you got me today with aunt mely. found it really nice. it's the usual angle where the leads are both afraid to fall in love but i guess the fact that the setting is in a police environment gave the story a unique twist. toni, sam and zanjoe's acting were superb (for newbies ha) and the comedy that jason provided- grabe! plus in fairness sumikip dibdib ko in some parts and its not during the romantic ones ha! may iba pa na angles ung story! hehe

belated rant
brought our honda civic for its 1000 km service check to Honda Cars Quezon Avenue. honda q av was near to the tutorial center i worked for so it was a natural choice. This was a first for me since our usual service center is the one in alabang. my family has been loyal honda users for more than five years so we're really all praises when it comes to the customer service of honda. However, i was in for a nasty surprise. What i excpected to be a smooth sailing day turned out to be otherwise.
upon reaching q av, was welcomed by service personnel who attended to our car. my dad also wanted to buy a lighter/cigarette fixture for the car since the model we had didn't come with one, unlike the previous models of honda. inquired about this and was referred to the accesories section of the service center. after expressing my desire to buy such fixture, he explained that it would need to be specially installed since the internal car wiring would be altered. i gave an ok expecting that there would be no problems since Honda has always been a stickler for quality.
after taking the car in, was informed by the service attendant that the car would be available by 12 nn since a 1000 km check takes little time and that Honda would work on my car immediately. thanked him and then left for my tutorial at sto. domingo.
came back at around 12:15 fully expecting that my car would be finished. however, was informed by another service attendant that the one in charge of my car was out for lunch. since i had time to spare, i decided to wait at the reception area.
The service attendant who was in charge of my car came at 1. I didn't get mad since he had the right to eat lunch and all. He then informed me that my car was taking longer since there was additional work, the installation of the lighter fixture. He said that the car service was in its final stages so if i could just wait.
It was already arounf 2 pm and my car wasn't done yet. Was getting impateint because i had a 2:30 appointment at school. The service attendant then informed me that my car was about ot be done, it was already going through quality inspection. Since quality inspection is necessary and would be for my benefit, my impatience simmered a little.
at around 2:30 i got my car. they released it and i hurriedly left the place. hadn't made it a few meters away when i noticed the interior panel that surrounded the lighter fixture. There were scratches and the interior was slightly chipped off! parang dinala lng sa kung saang talyer ung kotse at binaklas baklas! to think na bago pa ung car and sobrang alaga un! plus the service attendant said that they did "quality inspection!" makes me think what kind of quality inspection honda does! didn't notice this since the releasing area was dim and was in a hurry. got irritated and made a u-turn to go back to honda q av.

showed the scratches to the service attendant. he apologized and we brought the car to the mechanics who installed. They were profuse in apologizing but for me the damage was done already. Papatayin na ako ng tatay ko! we orginally thought that buying the lighter fixture wouldn't need any addtional installation and when the service attendant told me that there would be a need, i didn't hestitate to give a go signal (without my father's consent) since i believed honda would be able to install it properly! plus i already missed my meeting so sira na araw ko.
they promised to replace it free of charge. as a solution, they plan to remove the whole interior and replace it. they just have to order the spare part so i have to come back again. this made me even more irritated since i have to find free time to bring it back to quezon avenue once they're ready to replace it. grabe sa hassle! i hope that they do get to replace it within 2 to weeks to a month cause if not, ay iba na to. asar na tlga.
i hope that in some way, this step i took in freedom of speech would make a difference. malay natin umabot sa honda management! after all this is available sa worldwide web. sana they give me a new car.haha. but seriously, i believe that top honda management should be worried about these kinds of things. to think that my high esteem of honda will go down a notch because of poor customer service i received from the quezon avenue branch! i wish i had just gone through my regular routine and went to honda alabang but who would have known? i would have expected that the quality of all honda outlets are the same (and to think na dealer of the year pa ang quezon avenue!) but i was mistaken. tsk tsk. such a disappointment.
tsk tsk tlga.
