was looking for brownie recipes in the internet and came across this from hershey's kitchens...

nakakatakam :) ill try this doing this sometime.

Double Delicious Cookie Bars

Ingredients:

• 1/2 cup (1 stick) butter or margarine
• 1-1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs
• 1 can (14 oz.) sweetened condensed milk (not evaporated milk)
• 2 cups (12-oz. pkg.) HERSHEY'S SPECIAL DARK Chocolate Chips or HERSHEY'S Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips
• 1 cup REESE'S Peanut Butter Chips
• 1 cup HERSHEY'S SPECIAL DARK Chocolate Chips or HERSHEY'S Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips
• 1-1/2 teaspoons shortening(do not use butter, margarine, spread or oil)

Directions:
1. Heat oven to 350°F. (325°F. for glass dish).

2. Melt butter in oven in 13x9x2-inch baking pan. Sprinkle graham cracker crumbs over butter; pour sweetened condensed milk evenly over crumbs. Top with 2 cups chocolate chips and peanut butter chips; press down firmly.

3. Bake 25 to 30 minutes or until lightly browned. Cool completely in pan on wire rack. Place 1 cup chocolate chips and shortening in small microwave-safe bowl. Microwave at MEDIUM (50%) 1 to 1-1/2 minutes or until smooth when stirred. Drizzle over top of bars. When drizzle is firm, cut into bars. Store loosely covered at room temperature. 24 to 36 bars.

im starting to get interested in investment. honestly, my dad has been the one handling my money for the past years and its only now that i'm employed that i'm starting to appreciate these things. beginning to feel the need to invest for my future. (or siguro barat lang talaga ako? ;p)

thanks to my officemate, im starting with the stock market. also reading up on other investments though. grabe! i never realized that its very complicated! im starting to read internet sites na tipong investing for dummies. haha. found the this website (investopedia) very useful, m slowly reading their tutorials. it gives me lots of info about investments but its also easy to understand. :)

also joined the stock trading game at the philippine stock exchange website to give me a general feel. realized though that i' m inclined to be quite risk averse and a passive investor. i guess ill be investing more in short term stuff and fixed income securities.

haha. i feel old.

rant

i'm used to being one of the boys, used to being like a little sister or one of the gang. i know my place and accept the fact that i'm not the gorgeous type who makes guys swoon at my sight.

but, there are days, those days when im tired and feel overwhelmed by doubt and insecurity, that i just wish that i were a princess... with my prince ready to sweep me off my feet.

food expo

went to the world food expo earlier. complementary passes courtesy of julius. there were so many people, i found it hard to fully appreciate the event. otherwise, it was ok. good thing i was there with good company (julius and rizza).

afterwards, spent the rest of the evening in MOA. ate dinner and watched "Licensed to Wed" starring Robin Williams and Mandy Moore. The movie was ok. Had a few laughs. But i guess it was more of a comedy for another target market. hehe.


hopefully i'll get the pics we took in futile attempt to document our trip to the food fair. ill post it here when i get it. :)

just learned that aug 20 and aug 27 are both holidays. 2 long weekends for me! hope that my friends and i will be able to fix our scheds so we can go out of town.
