(mejo drama post ulet..)
literally
we were cleaning up our backyard due to the debris left by the storm, and my mom kept on saying that it was aggravating cause we don't have trees but now we have to clean up the leaves that fell from our neighbor's. also, nagka-brownout this am. good thing the power came back quickly.
figuratively
work problems came up last night. so panic mode naman ako. buti na lang i was obedient enough to listen to my dad's order to go home immediately or else i would have been caught up in the office trying to solve the problem with the storm brewing outside. i know ill be answering lots of questions on tuesday and ill have to face the consequences of my decisions...
realizations
during storms in life, there are a people you think of that you can run to. i have once again proven that you'll always have your family behind ur back. but its also sad because some of the people i thought i could run to weren't there when i cried for help. there's also the people you thought wouldn't bother but surprisingly held your hand when you needed them.
indeed, storms break bonds, form loyalties. but most important of all, there's you and you alone. you have to be strong and to keep on fighting. because after every storm is a brand new day and its just up to you to stand up and continue with the fight...
postscript
suddenly i am reminded of this inday joke:
Amo: Inday, bakit nagkalat ang basura sa likod ng bahay?!
Inday: A change in the weather patterns might have occurred wrecking havoc to the surroundings. The way the debris are scattered indicates that the gust of wind was going northeast causing damage to the path it was heading for.
Amo: (nosebleed)
